Matthew A. Brown's Julia (2014) movie trailer looks awesome and in the vein of I Spit on Your Grave, maybe I will be able to watch this one without grimacing. Watch as the entire movie is sped through, hopefully there is enough in-between the full movie to not feel cheated. That being said, the trailer is awesome and shows everything you want to see and leaves out the details that many do not want to…

Where the Devil Hides (2014) - Trailer

Where the Devil Hides (2014) aka The Devil's Hand (2014) has a really sweet movie trailer that stars Rufus Sewell, Alycia Debnam Carey, Adelaide Kane, Leah Pipes, Thomas McDonell and Jennifer Carpenter. Director Christian E. Christiansen shows some scary scenes in the trailer and you have to see it. I have seen many of these devil baby type movies and this one looks very promising and we are not stuck in the baby stage. The film skips…

A Good Marriage (2014) - Trailer

Stephen King's A Good Marriage (2014) hits movie theaters and iTunes this October 3, 2014 from director Peter Askin. This movie reminds me of HBO's Dexter the serial killer through the eyes of his wife. I am not sure how to call this movie yet but I will give it a chance. Starring in A Good Marriage are Kristen Connolly, Joan Allen and Stephen Lang. Synopsis: When her husband (Anthony LaPaglia) of more than twenty years is away…

X Moor (2014) - Trailer

Director Luke Hyams' Xmoor (2014), also known as X Moor (2014) looks really good. I watched the trailer and I think this creature feature may have been done right, well done. Xmoor will premiere at Film4 FrightFest 2014. Xmoor includes stars Melia Kreiling, Nick Blood, Mark Bonnar, Olivia Popica and James Lecky. Synopsis: With their sights set on a £25,000 reward promoted by a local newspaper, American documentarians Georgia and Matt head to Exmoor in North Devon…

Wer (2013) - Trailer Rerelease

Wer (2013) looks amazing and is the werewolf movie I have been waiting a long time to see. The film looks gritty and intense. I do not think we will see werewolves but this werewolf is played by a beast of a man. This trailer shows a beautiful werewolf transformation at around 1:23 into the trailer. Director William Brent Bell really did a wonderful job here. Wer releases on DVD this September 23, 2014, you bet…

Open Windows (2014) - Updated Trailer

This is an updated trailer for Open Windows (2014) to the original trailer posted last year. Check out the Open Windows review here to see what we scored this thriller. I like that this trailer is totally revamped to show more of the good bits of the movie. Can you really say no to Sasha Grey and Elijah Wood? Nacho Vigalondo directs and even stars briefly alongside Sasha Grey, Elijah Wood and Neil Maskell. Synopsis: An actress named Jill refuses…

The Babadook (2014) - Trailer 2

The Babadook (2014) now has a second trailer and it looks awesome. I am also liking what I have been hearing about the new horror movie like "truly frightening" and "a flat-out masterpiece." IFC Midnight will be bringing this movie to the US soon. I especially like the trailer around 1:00 when you hear the creepy Babadook say his name, golden. Starring in The Babadook are Essie Davis, Hayley McElhinney and Daniel Hanshall with Jennifer Kent…

Volcano Zombies (2014) - Trailer

Director Rene Perez brings us the new zombie movie Volcano Zombies (2014). Volcano Zombies looks more like a zombie comedy to me. I played the trailer twice, the second time with the trailer on mute and it was hysterical. Volcano Zombies stars Danny Trejo, Jenny Lin and Julia Lehman. Synopsis: A sheriff must rescue an estranged family from the impending eruption of a volcano, at the same time fighting off a horde of lava-filled zombies brought to…

Horror Videos
Horror videos and movies have grown to become the longest-lasting movie genre in history. Horror videos are intended to elicit a feeling of dread, fear, or dismay. Expect the unexpected and count on an intense atmosphere that grows at a face pace. Horror videos often lull you into a sense of tranquility then suddenly create a menacing effect that jolts you out of your comfort zone. They can leave you with a vague ending, so you have the sense that the menace still remains, which is the perfect set up for a sequel. The two main subjects of horror videos are supernatural beings (vampires, phantoms, demons, etc.) or real situations and figures (serial killers, medical tragedies, etc.).

Scary Videos and Why We Love Them
The appeal of scary videos has grown over the years and with the new crop of films, such as Saw, The Strangers, Session 9, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, the definition of horror has also evolved. These movies display more explicit gore, jump scenes, scares, and supernatural content than ever before.

But why do we love these scary videos? These movies allow us to confront our most primal fears, all in the comfort of our own home. Scary videos are terrifying, exciting, fascinating, and thrilling. The musical score adds tension, builds suspense, then releases it for a roller coaster ride our nerves love. Scary videos appeal to the basic human condition and to our attempts to overcome our fear. No matter why you love scary videos, one fact remains - we can't wait to watch the next one.
