This is an updated trailer for Open Windows (2014) to the original trailer posted last year. Check out the Open Windows review here to see what we scored this thriller. I like that this trailer is totally revamped to show more of the good bits of the movie. Can you really say no to Sasha Grey and Elijah Wood? Nacho Vigalondo directs and even stars briefly alongside Sasha Grey, Elijah Wood and Neil Maskell. Synopsis: An actress named Jill refuses…

The Babadook (2014) - Trailer 2

The Babadook (2014) now has a second trailer and it looks awesome. I am also liking what I have been hearing about the new horror movie like "truly frightening" and "a flat-out masterpiece." IFC Midnight will be bringing this movie to the US soon. I especially like the trailer around 1:00 when you hear the creepy Babadook say his name, golden. Starring in The Babadook are Essie Davis, Hayley McElhinney and Daniel Hanshall with Jennifer Kent…

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor - Cinematic Trailer (Game)

Game developer Blizzard has been getting pummelled by the record-breaking unsubscribes for World of Warcraft for the last few quarters. Clearly they needed to make something new fast and forget about the classic "when it is done" release date. At the recent Gamescom 2014, the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Cinematic Trailer was released and this is a beauty. Not sure how many subscribers might join back but definitely a good game to reconsider. World of Warcraft: Warlords…

Borderlands: The Pre Sequel - Last Hope Trailer (Game)

Developer Gearbox Software and 2K Australia's Borderlands: The Pre Sequel recently released the "Last Hope Trailer" at Gamescom 2014 and I love it! Borderlands: The Pre Sequel is scheduled for release in North America on October 14, 2014 with the international release later on October 17, 2014. I am a little on the fence about the gameplay so far but I loved the first Borderlands games and should like this one also. This time we play on…

Volcano Zombies (2014) - Trailer

Director Rene Perez brings us the new zombie movie Volcano Zombies (2014). Volcano Zombies looks more like a zombie comedy to me. I played the trailer twice, the second time with the trailer on mute and it was hysterical. Volcano Zombies stars Danny Trejo, Jenny Lin and Julia Lehman. Synopsis: A sheriff must rescue an estranged family from the impending eruption of a volcano, at the same time fighting off a horde of lava-filled zombies brought to…

Until Dawn - PS4 Trailer (Game)

Until Dawn has received a refreshed look for the Playstation 4 (PS4) release with a new trailer from Gamescom 2014. This horror title game is very typical with the "friends go to a secluded cabin in the woods" story but this game looks and feels like it is a full movie. I would love to play this version the first chance I get. The tagline behind "Until Dawn" is that it is "horror reinvented" but…

Mortal Kombat X is heading to the Playstation 4 (PS4) and XBox One in 2015 but Ed Boon (NetherRealm Games) is releasing character videos to tide us over until then. We get to see one of the original characters, Kano, which he does not look old enough to be set in the new far future Mortal Kombat. This Mortal Kombat X footage comes from the Gamescom 2014.

Starbreeze AB, the folks who did Payday 2, will be working on the next The Walking Dead game titled Overkill. At the end of the trailer is a special message from Robert Kirkman endorsing the game and developer Starbreeze AB. The teaser trailer does not show any gameplay at all but you can already see that the game is going to have you making some very hard choices. There is a horde of zombies outside,…

Horror Videos
Horror videos and movies have grown to become the longest-lasting movie genre in history. Horror videos are intended to elicit a feeling of dread, fear, or dismay. Expect the unexpected and count on an intense atmosphere that grows at a face pace. Horror videos often lull you into a sense of tranquility then suddenly create a menacing effect that jolts you out of your comfort zone. They can leave you with a vague ending, so you have the sense that the menace still remains, which is the perfect set up for a sequel. The two main subjects of horror videos are supernatural beings (vampires, phantoms, demons, etc.) or real situations and figures (serial killers, medical tragedies, etc.).

Scary Videos and Why We Love Them
The appeal of scary videos has grown over the years and with the new crop of films, such as Saw, The Strangers, Session 9, and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, the definition of horror has also evolved. These movies display more explicit gore, jump scenes, scares, and supernatural content than ever before.

But why do we love these scary videos? These movies allow us to confront our most primal fears, all in the comfort of our own home. Scary videos are terrifying, exciting, fascinating, and thrilling. The musical score adds tension, builds suspense, then releases it for a roller coaster ride our nerves love. Scary videos appeal to the basic human condition and to our attempts to overcome our fear. No matter why you love scary videos, one fact remains - we can't wait to watch the next one.
