New horror movie Zack Parker’s Proxy trailer is creepy in a realistic troubling way. We start off with a woman, Esther (Alexia Rasmussen) telling her tale of being pregnant and the great attention she gets from people. This is happening while clips are playing in the background so you do not get bored. Another lady asks her, “Were you excited, about being a mother?” and she replies “I never wanted to be a mother”. Say what?! Did she kill her baby and/or was she at the wrong place at the wrong time or did she get pregnant on purpose just for the attention. I want to see what Proxy has to offer because I am now officially interested.
Synopsis: As a very-pregnant Esther (Alexia Rasmussen) walks home after a doctor’s appointment, she is viciously attacked by a hooded assailant. In the wake of this traumatic event, the quiet and lonely woman finds some consolation from kindly Melanie (Alexa Havins), whom she meets at a support group. At first, Esther’s life of sadness and solitude seems to be finally opening up to the possibility of a real friendship. That is, until a chance encounter makes it clear that nothing — and no one — in her life is as it appears. Setting off a chain reaction of increasingly shocking revelations, Proxy twists and turns its way through loss, grief, and death.
