As vampire books go, this was an enjoyable read. It incorporates not only vampire lore, but also werewolves. Which brings me to the point of my title for this review. The storyline is a great deal like the movie "Underworld" which was released a year after this book was published. Regardless, this book does have some nice plot twists, shows originality and makes it quite a pleasant read.

Based on Bram Stoker's classic, the epic horror follows a team of elite vampire hunters led by Colonel Rufus King and Jacob Van Helsing as they infiltrate the dark underworld to battle the ruthless vampire clan lead by the Countess Elizabeth Bathorley.

I will preface my review of this movie by saying that I much prefer Blade, From Dusk til Dawn and Underworld type vampire flicks that all have tons of action, violence and gore in them. Whenever you get into the PG-13 world you are going to get a much more friendly and watered down film with less brutal movie.
