Like another reviewer said, let's face facts, a lot of vampire films are either dull, weird, or downright dumb. Dull and a little stupidity makes this vampire film what it is. It looked like an interesting vampire film at the video rental place. It looked a lot better than some of the other vampire films there. And though the movie I don't hate, I found extremely boring. Hardly anything happened. Most of the time they just talked and snarled at each other and these young ones were just…
Vampire Hunter D Volume 5: The Stuff Of Dreams (Vampire Hunter D)
In a world where even the smallest and most remote village is being terrorized by the monsters that stalk the night, there is a hamlet, prosperous and peaceful, where mortals and vampires have lived in harmony for years. The mysterious Vampire Hunter D is lured to the tranquil oasis by recurrent dreams of the beautiful, undying girl bathed in an eerie…

Of course the 'professor' being more intent on STEALING from the tomb, doesn't…

Never Fall in Love with a Vampire. It is a Pain in the Neck
As vampire books go, this was an enjoyable read. It incorporates not only vampire lore, but also werewolves. Which brings me to the point of my title for this review. The storyline is a great deal like the movie "Underworld" which was released a year after this book was published. Regardless, this book does have some nice plot twists, shows originality and makes it quite a pleasant read.
Vampire Secrets (History Channel)
At the mention of the word "vampire," images of bloody fangs, dark capes, and a man with a hideous, spooky laugh immediately come to mind. These conventional images, born from countless vampire films over the years, are most commonly associated with Irish writer Bram Stoker and his iconic 1897 novel Dracula. However, despite the popularity and influence of this celebrated nineteenth-century tome, the vampire myth dates back more than 1,000 years, long before Stoker ever put pen to paper. In this…

Fans have been waiting to sink their fangs into an all-new Anita Blake hardcover in the New York Times bestselling series. These days, Anita Blake is less interested in vampire politics than in an ancient, ordinary dread she shares with women down the ages: she may be pregnant. And, if she is, whether the father is a vampire, a werewolf, or someone else entirely, he knows perfectly well that being a Federal Marshal known for raising the dead and being a vampire executioner, is no way to bring up…
Written in 1879 (18 years before Dracula) by 19-year-old Marie Nizet, Captain Vampire, in its method and tone alike, is way ahead of its time. Although its plot has supernatural elements, and its antagonist is manifestly demonic, the novel's true purpose is to bring out the horror of war. A significant work in the history of horror fiction, it is undoubtedly one of the finest literary works ever to have made use of the vampire motif.
