Tormented by her husband’s spectacular debauchery, Mary Shelley created a powerful and unforgettable avenging monster. Rising in repudiation of…

Malleus Monstrorum: Creatures ( Gods)
At my heart im a D&D players and love monster books. In the last few years I have gotten in Lovecrafts works and have begun to pick up the games books by chaosium. Then I found this little gem. A collection of almost evey God, Old one, Elder, monster and normal animal from Chaosiums books. Im sure there are more, but that only means there will be a Malleus Monstrorum II. THe Lore is well written and the book is made of good quality, though I wish there was a Hardcover. My only complaint is there…
Creature Unknown
(2004)
I must come out and defend this movie for one simple reason - the monster. In this age of CGI, it's quite refreshing to see a very high quality monster suit worn by an actor. CGI has gotten so good in big budget movies that it's indistinguishable from reality, but lower budget movies that can't afford the real good stuff always have bad CGI. You instantly know it isn't really there. Bless Creature Unknown for making the effort to create an old-school rubber suit that looks absolutely great (no wrinkles,…
Monster Stew
My daughter loves this book and, luckily, so do my husband and I. We love reading it together. It is very well written and mysterious, without being scary.
The Unleashing: The Sasquatch Encounters One
Overhead, a small charter plane buzzes the treetops of the Canadian wilderness, entering a zone of endless possibilities for the men on their annual hunting trip. Some are very experienced, while others hope to bag a trophy for the first time. What the men do not know is that a monster lurks below. Chad Gamin, a rookie hunter, thought that the hunting trip would give him a good chance to spend time with his father. But as Chad, his father, best friend Shane, and another couple enter the deep woods…
Gappa: Monsters From a Prehistoric Planet (Cinema Insomnia Edition)
(2009)
"The Japanese monster movie doesn't sink much lower than this (the Koreans came pretty close though). It is not a movie for the faint of heart, especially taken straight up without anythng to dilute it. The Cinema Insomnia DVD is about the only thing that slavages this movie for me. Monster From a Prehistoric Planet is also available on other labels, but none of them come with Mr. Lobo. If you do not have the good fortune to have him on the airwaves in your area, you can now enjoy him…
Gamera - Guardian of the Universe (Custom Art Box)
(2003)
Gamera, Japan's favorite jet-propelled giant flying turtle, was Daiei's child-friendly answer to Toho's Godzilla franchise. This decidedly juvenile staple of the 1960s became a modest success, but those early features, with cut-rate special effects and gooey child stars, rate little beyond camp nowadays. With such a legacy, his 1995 rebirth Gamera, Guardian of the Galaxy, is a delightful surprise. Now taking over the franchise, Toho comes through with an old-fashioned giant monster…
The Tormented/Lady Frankenstein
(2001)
Joseph Cotton was among the most interesting actors to emerge from Orson Well's Mercury Theatre ensemble, and after his appearance in CITIZEN KANE he was much in demand as both leading man and character actor, appearing in such classic films as SHADOW OF A DOUBT, GASLIGHT, SINCE YOU WENT AWAY and THE THIRD MAN. With the advent of television, he moved into that arena, and between films and television he worked steadily until his 1981 retirement. Even so, as time passed the quality of his material…
Monster Island: A Zombie Novel
It's one month after a global disaster. The most "developed" nations of the world have fallen to the shambling zombie masses. Only a few pockets of humanity survive — in places rife with high-powered weaponry, such as Somalia. In New York City, the dead walk the streets, driven by an insatiable hunger for all things living. One amongst them is different; though he shares their appetites he has retained his human intelligence. Alone among the mindless zombies, Gary Fleck is an…
House of Dracula
(1997)
This movie is one hour and seven minute long and was released on December 7, 1945. This movie was the final farewell to Dracula, Wolf Man and the Monster; if one does not count Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. The movie is set several years in the future where House of Frankenstein ended. Dracula a. k. a. Baron Latos seemed the have escaped his sunlight death from the last movie and seeks a cure for his vampirism. Lawrence Talbot (the Wolf Man) seems immune from silver bullets because he was…

Gorgo - Destruction Edition
(2005)
A volcanic eruption in the North Atlantic brings to the surface a 65-foot prehistoric monster. Two treasure divers capture the creature and take him to London where he is put on display in a circus. A scientist is thoughtful enough to point out that the sailors' bonanza is only an infant, and that a full-grown specimen would be over 200 feet in height. Sure enough, Gorgo's mama comes thundering ashore, reclaims her offspring and heads back to sea — but not before she trashes a generous…
