Bram Stoker's Dracula
(1992)

Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of my favorite horror movies. Bram Stoker's Dracula vampire story is about the sides of all of the characters and is beautifully done. Dracula is pretty much straight from the book. Dracula is shown as not only a monster/villain but also as a grief stricken lover who was betrayed by his God. From the beginning of Dracula's reign from hell as a master vampire to his demise. Bram Stoker's Dracula is beautifully told and portrayed by each and everyone of the cast.…

AKA Count Dracula and His Vampire Brides. Not the best of Christopher Lee`s Dracula films. This was sad way to end both Christopher Lee`s Dracula performances and his Hammer association with Peter Cushing. But it have som good movement. Recommended for Dracula lovers.

Dracula Has Risen From The Grave
(1969)

What a good movie on the subject of Dracula. Scary. But not guts and blood every where scary. Just right. Lee`s voice is all that is needed to be a scary Dracula. Better than Bela Lugosi`s Dracula. That was a good Dracula movie. It is one of the hammer films best dracula movies. A horror movie that is rated PG. That is all that is needed to understand the content. I loved it! It was wonderful.

Taste The Blood Of Dracula
(1970)

It's pretty obvious that Taste The Blood Of Dracula was originally not supposed to feature Dracula at all, and this is a major flaw with this entry, which is a slight notch down from Dracula Has Risen From The Grave, itself a drop in quality from Dracula and Dracula Prince Of Darkness, the first and best two of the series. It's still fun in the typical Hammer way ,but definately feels somewhat tired, while it's patently obvious that Hammer were running out of things for it's…

The book follows the activities of Dr. Seward’s Sanatorium, the location from which Dracula drew several victims before being destroyed…

One hundred years after his creation by Bram Stoker, Dracula is still fascinating us. This study traces the changing nature of film representations of Dracula, from the early silent adaptations to recent popular dramas. Holte suggests that vampire films and Dracula adaptations have become an independent genre, the dark romance, with its own set of narrative conventions and audience expectations combining horror and eroticism. This engaging study provides readers with a natural history of the vampire,…

One of the most popular stories ever told, Dracula (1897) has been re-created for the stage and screen hundreds of times in the last century. Yet it is essentially a Victorian saga, an awesome tale of thrillingly bloodthirsty vampire whose nocturnal atrocities reflect the dark underside of a supremely moralistic age. Above all, Dracula is a quintessential story of suspense and horror, boasting one of the most terrifying characters in literature: centuries-old Count Dracula, whose diabolical passions…
