Arimtage III is a truly great anime OVA. Sadly it came out about the same time as the original GHOST IN THE SHELL, and was overlooked for the overrated Ghost in the Shell movie. i saw this movie ages ago and have been searching for it since, finally found and rented it on netflix and plan to buy it on amazon. i can't say why i like this movie so much, the anime isn't so hot, i think it's mainly the story.

The anime Vampire Hunter D is based on the great Vampire Hunter D novels. Vampire Hunter D as the first of the movie adaptations I think was done very poorly. Anime Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is a great movie adaptation. The vampire/Dhampir/Bounty Hunter, Vampire Hunter D gets put through yet another situation in the near future where he must battle evil vampires and monsters.

I was drawn to this movie because I enjoyed the Vampire Hunter D films and other darker-style anime. It was a big mistake. This movie starts off terribly, having no hook whatsover. Nothing to be drawn towards. It doesn't get any more interesting and by the middle I could not wait for it to be over. The animation is second rate and we've seen every character design before. This anime is by far one of my top favorites! It really makes you think about what you would do when faced with the same situations as the characters in it. Would you be willing to damn yourself as well as the soul of your tormentor? Would you reconsider, or sacrifice your own eternity for the sake of another?
