Ivan Zuccon, Italian filmmaker who also made Colour From the Dark and Nympha will now be starting pre production on Wrath of the Crows. Directing will be Ivan Zuccon and Roberta Marrelli and a screenplay from both Zuccon and Gerardo Di Filippo. Starring Debbie Rochon and Tiffany Shepis.

I Spit On Your Grave director Steven R.Monroe’s next feature film will be the revenge/action/thriller titled “Hole in the Desert”. Sexy Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever) is onboard to play the tough, beautiful and vengeful Monika. Monroe says the rest of the cast will be revealed shortly and that the film will be completed the beginning of September 2011.

Dibbuk Box has been pushed back two months by Lionsgate Films. Now in post-production, the Sam Raimi-produced horror starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Madison Davenport, Natasha Calis will now arrive in theaters January 6, 2012.

Gary Busey is on board for Piranha 3DD, now in production in Wilmington, NC.

It’s time to figure out what CW will be doing with the next fall season. It is no surprise that Vampire Diaries Season 3 will be picked up for the next season. Jared Padalecki was a little worried but Supernatural Season 7 will be picked up for next fall.

Episode 3 of Kevin Tancharoen’s “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” digital series is now online. This video features Johnny Cage and his back story on why he became involved with Mortal Kombat.

Dimension Films has started production on the sequel to Piranha 3D. The director of the horror movie Feast, John Gulager, has begun photography in Wilmington, NC for Piranha 3DD. The official plot for Piranha 3DD is “There’s something in the water… again. And this time no one is safe from the flesh eating fish as they sink their razor sharp teeth into the visitors of the best summer attraction, The Big Wet Water Park.”

Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski may soon be taking on the military/sci-fi film Archangel was originally written by Andrew Will. With the writing process now starting, it will be at least a few months before the rewrite is able to go to the next phase. This makes the next likely project for the director will be Oblivion. Tom Cruise is currently attached to Oblivion. Archangel news should be gin to trickle in a few months, stay tuned.

This Priest trailer features Maggie Q laying the smack down on a motorcycle gang. Proving why she is the Priestess and that she can more then handle any situation, especially vampires.

The Troll Hunter is one of those horror movies that looks like it will be a great take on a popular idea that hasn’t been used much lately. The Troll Hunter hits theaters June 10 with a VOD debut on May 6.

Prometheus, the rumored Alien prequel, has started shooting and has added Benedict Wong (Sunshine) and Emun Elliott (Black Death) to the growing cast in the sci-fi horror currently filming in England.
