Lionsgates The Possession is looking great and I for one hope it lives up to all the hype. Here is a new clip title “Where’s my box?”. The little girl flips out on her dad after discovering that the father has gotten rid of the Dybbuk box. She then gets slapped by some unseen entity and runs out the house. You have to see the clip for yourself to get the full effect of the clip.

The sneak peek of Hammer Film‘s latest new horror film The Quiet Ones is more documentary style then footage. This may be a little boring for most but something to check out if you can. The Quiet Ones is based on a great story about an unorthodox professor who uses his students to create a poltergeist. Poltergeists are paranormal activity that caused by negative human energy many believe and the professor sets out to prove this theory and that in fact he can create them. A young patient is experimented on leading her to borderline insanity. The experiment becomes a success but now they are faced with an evil poltergeist spirits who is more then they ever imagined to create.

We still have more horror movies in the 2012 year. We have serial killers, demons, haunting, horror game franchise movies and even a The Jersey Devil feature movie. Movies include Maniac, Resident Evil: Retribution, Smiley, V/H/S, Sinister, Paranormal Activity 4, House at the End of the Street, The Apparition, The Barrens, The Possession and Silent Hill: Revelation among many other good horror movies still left in the 2012 horror year. Take a fresh look/recap at the movies you should still be looking out for in 2012.

Jaume Balaguero‘s Sleep Tight (Mientras Duermes) will be released just time for October 2012. Below is the official press release with details to the latest project. MPI / Dark Sky Films will be releasing the Spanish shocker on VOD and in theaters on October 26, 2012.

Resident Evil Retribution 3D has another Milla Jovovich skin-tight leather outfit. There is nothing else in the poster besides her which is a little dull in my opinion. I like Milla Jovovich but there is more to this film then her and I feel that they are always over stressing here. I know she is the hero here but can’t they have put in some explosions or maybe other cast members. Resident Evil Retribution comes to theaters this upcoming September 14, 2012. The film stars Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand and Li Bingbing.

Todd Lincoln‘s The Apparition looks great from the following horror movie clips. The Apparition stars Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan and Tom Felton. The performances in the following clips is gripping as the fear shows in their eyes and to feel pity for lies in their future. I was a little skeptical at first but now I must see The Apparition.

Ciaran Foy‘s upcoming psychological thriller Citadel tackles the idea of feral children. The trailer looks great great and very intense. Take a look at the trailer and tell me what you think.

Michael Biehn‘s The Victim will be hitting DVD and Blu-ray release this September 18, 2012 from Anchor Bay Films. The final trailer is below along with the Poster. Looks promising so far but I will leave it up to you to decide and comment on what you think of this one.

U.K. horror/thriller Airborne will be released by Image Entertainment this upcoming October 2012 in the U.S. The VOD release will be October 16, 2012. The cast looks promising with Craig Conway, Gemma Atkinson, Simon Phillips, Sebastian Street and Mark Hamill.

The word “remake” is a scary word lately but let’s keep a positive mind here. Mark Hartley‘s “Patrick” is a remake of Richard Franklin’s 1978 Australian film. The horror film is scheduled for an October 2013 release so we have a lot of time for this movie to grow into something worth while. Sharni Vinson takes the lead as the nurse who takes care of the horror known as Patrick.

The Ukranians are entering the 3D horror movie realm with their werewolf film Synevir 3D. The werewolf certainly looks gruesome and nasty looking. The trailer is English subbed and the poster gives that Children of the Corn mixed with an ancient native American omen feel. Enter the Carpathian Mountains where many unexplained things have been happening for the last few hundreds of years. Take a look at the trailer and see the scary werewolf at the end.

Tibor Takacs’ Spiders 3D has been off the radar for quite a while but has finally emerged with a new poster. Spider 3D will star William Hope, Patrick Muldoon, Jon Mack and Christa Campbell. Giant Spiders attack and hopefully a great movie is the outcome. Let’s see what the trailer looks like when it finally turns up.

Brian Pulido brings you Killer Gnome. This blood thirsty killer gnome looks funny and reminds me of the first Leprechaun movie. The poster looks great and gives a great spooky element with the innocent gnome looking somewhat less menacing then he will be. Tomcat Films will be releasing this horror film in which may have the possibility of becoming a great indie film.

Simone Gandolfo‘s upcoming horror film Evil Things is about a blog that an evil torturer creates in order to reward teenagers who posts the most evil things they do. The mysterious prize will be given to the teenager who does the most evil thing. The synopsis is longer then most synopsis’s that you will ever read and may contain potential spoilers. The trailer for Evil Things looks sinister and gory. I for one like the trailer but some may not. Evil Things stars Marta Gastini, Pietro Ragusa, Aaron Omossie, Nicola Sorrenti and Jennifer Mischiati.

Issei Shibata‘s Alter Ego trailer is a little dull but plays on the premise of having a deeper story. The poster is great and shows a girl looking into the mirror and upon seeing herself, she starts to break down on a molecular level upon seeing her dopple-ganger (evil version of herself). Alter Ego comes from the director of The Grudge and Ju-on and will be released by Eagle One Media. That being said, fans of The Grudge and Ju-on should see this Asian horror movie. The trailer is a little too boring to build up my excitement at this point but maybe the full length movie will be great.
