Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
Friday the 13th Part 8 (VIII): Jason Takes Manhattan, the very idea of Jason going to New York sounds like this one might have something new, fresh, and slightly funny to add to the series, but it doesn’t. Instead, it’s just a retread of the previous Friday the 13th horror movies, with a different background and one or two comical points. Jason is accidentally revived from his watery grave and soon boards a boat that’s headed out to Manhattan from Crystal Lake. Well, only a few survivors make it to New York, and the last half hour or so is spent watching Jason stalk them through streets and sewers. Friday the 13th Part 8 (VIII): Jason Takes Manhattan is nothing new, but it did put a permanent end to the series, at least until New Line Cinema bought the rights from Paramount.
Synopsis:A passing boat bound for New York pulls Jason Voorhees along for the ride. Look out New York, here comes hell in a hockey mask.
