MOMMY 2: MOMMY’S DAY picks up where MOMMY left off, with Patty McCormack’s character about to meet the reaper in the death-house (lethal injection doncha know). Of course, she miraculously escapes, and is given a second chance! Ah, the justice system! Mommy gets an implant in her arm that keeps the anti-psychotic drugs flowing, allowing her to live a normal life. The end. Fat chance! Mommy’s enemies are being bumped off again. Is Mommy behind this, or is a copycat at work? Brinke Stevens returns as the loveable, less trusting sister, Beth. Rachel Lemieux is back in the daughter role, as is Mickey Spillane as Mommy’s lawyer. This time the intrepid cop is played by Gary Sandy, who only made me think of him as Andy from WKRP once! I really enjoyed this sequel and will watch it again as a double feature w/ the first one…
