Friday the 13th Part 4 IV: The Final Chapter 1984 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
The Final Chapter was far from the final chapter, and this Friday the 13th weekend is turning out to be incredibly long. Technically, it’s about Tuesday the 17th or Wednesday the 18th, as the events of the part two, three, and four all happen in the same week. Anyway, this movie picks up exactly where part three left off, with Jason having an axe lodged into his frontal lobe. Soon he escapes the morgue and heads back to Camp Blood to continue his violent rampage. More teenagers have come to Crystal Lake for some pot-smoking, pre-marital fun, as if nobody has heard about the recent string of violent murders happening around the lake. The bodies pile up (one of them is Crispin Glover) and the movie pretty much imitates the previous Friday movies. There is one character actually looking for Jason to avenge his sister’s murder, but that subplot is never fully realized and the character dies in his first confrontation with the masked psycho. This movie also introduced the character Tommy Jarvis (played by Corey Feldman), who would return in parts five and six. The overall scenario is stale and predictable, but this movie is a little more interesting than the others.
