Only Darkness 1999 Horror Movie Review

British horror movie, wearing its influences of classic Italien horror masters as Argento and Bava, ‘Only Darkness’ also throws in aspects of classic 60s British cult TV to boot. The result is an eclectic and interesting film about a horror writer who finds himself sheltering a mute girl, who may or may not be on the run from an axe-murderer. With great performances from Crispin Manson as the increasingly threatened writer, Nicole Streak as the mute girl, and Dave Mitchell as Manson’s controversial agent, ‘Only Darkness’ is worth the time as the surprise conclusion is unexpected.
