Mountain of the Cannibal God / Cannibal Man 2003 Horror Movie Review

This dvd has two cannibal films that your either going to love or hate it depends on what you like to watch in your films. These two are very good lost cult gore films that were forgotten and now re-released by Anchor Bay, Mountain of the cannibal god is the story of a wealthy woman played by Ursula Andress she goes in search of her missing husband whose been lost in the Marabata jungle in New Guinea along with her brother (Antonio Marsina) they attempt to meet with local authorities to arrange an expedition but only find one person who will guide them an anthropoligist played by Stacy Keach, they soon head of into the jungle however there are alot of traps and some of the search party are killed off one by one and soon left to defend for themselves against the cannibals, it also seems like Marsina’s character turns out to be a very greedy and decietful person as you’ll soon find out what he does. The gore scenes were terrific everything from bodies being torn off and eaten and alot of people being slaughtered and one guy has his brains bashed out, Mountain of the cannibal god turned out to be one of the best Italian Cannibal films I’ve seen so far. The second film while not as good as the first film was interesting to say the least and was a nice bonus, Cannibal man is about a butcher that works at a slaughter house who has gone insane when he accidentely kills a cab driver, he soon commits more murders while his sanity slips away. The film had a very slow pace but it was stylishly made and had a great performace from the male lead. If your interested in watching some gory European horror films then you should deffinetely check out these films.
