This Is the End (2013) Movie Review
This Is the End is about a group of actors who play a fictional version of themselves. It was directed and written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. It was amusing when everyone around the convenience store that Jay Baruchel and Seth Rogen was in got suddenly abducted by a beaming light out of the sky. Soon after another earthquake happens and a gigantic hole opens up in the ground and it just apparently swallowed up a whole bunch of celebrities, Rihanna included. Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill and Craig Robinson survived the earthquakes and soon decide to gather up all the food they can find and barricade themselves in the house until help comes. This movie soon starts unfolding with lots of comedy and questions like, why would they do that?
This Is the End contains nude scenes, sexual scenes, profanity (“F” word was used over 200 times), comedy, scary looking demon raping people, graphic violence, drugs and lots of disasters.
This movie is funny where anything goes like an enormous demon having a gigantic penis which is eventually cut off by a beam of light, Seth Rogen had to be taking acid while writing the film. Most people have an opinion of how the world is going to end, whether it being by an apocalypse, meteor, winged demons, and other natural disasters. This movie has it all with many possibilities of how the world can end.
I would say this is a stupid funny movie to watch with a group of open minded friends while sipping on some beer and chilling out - guy time. This Is the End is a funny comedy but it does leave its audience with a lot of what ifs?? I gave this movie a 6 because it was not bad and it was not good either. Will I watch it again - NO.
I knew I wasn’t in for much of a treat from watching the trailer so I was not disappointed when I actually saw the movie. I could not believe some of the things I saw in this movie, especially a demon raping a guy… the demon was a little scary, intimidating and where do you come up with this?
