Supernatural - The Complete First Season 2005 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
Supernatural is one of those rare shows that comes around and actually makes it as a well developed series of the horror genre. Lets get to the meat of what it’s about for those of you who don’t know. Roughly about 20 years ago a baby turns 6 months and on that night something wierd happens. the mother of the child, Sam, hears the baby making strange noises in his nursery. On the way into the nusrery, the hallway lights are flickering so she hurrys to see Sam. Looks like Sams’ father has the baby taken care of so mommy backs out of the nursery into the hallway only to realize that the downstairs TV is on. She scoots to take it off but notices that daddy is fast asleep. She runs back to the nursery. When dad kicks in the door, the room is engulfed in flames and Sam is still in his cradle. He scoops him out and notices that mom is pinned to the ceiling with dead eyes staring at him. Sam’s older brother Dean, about 5-7 years old arrives at the door and dad hands Sam to his brother and tells Dean to take his brother out of the house. Dean walks out the door and when he looks back, he house is engulfed in flames. Just as fear kicks in dad scoops his sons up and runs just as the house blows up.
This sets off the events in motion for Supernatural as to their motive to become hunters of the supernatural. The sons grow up and hunt while they search for their father as he goes MIA. The boys battle all types of monsters, demons and spirits. They even tackle a clan of vampires. The series is highly enjoyable and entertaining. A hell of a lot better then X-Files and they even call one another Scully once as a funny little dig at yesterdays popular series. You can not miss out on this one because it is a must see that I don’t want to spoil. The cliff hanger ending is also a perfect end for Supernatural Season 1.
