The Prowler 2010 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
.....with a PITCHFORK! When a lonely G.I. at the end of WW2 receives a Dear John letter from his faithless sweetheart back home.“I’m young and I want to have fun” -he replies by impaling the new couple together with a pitchfork. 35 years later the small town of Avalon Bay is about to have the first graduation dance since the murder, the sheriff receives word that a maniac from the next town over has stabbed someone and removed their heart. What’s a sheriff gonna do? This one goes fishing and leaves his young deputy in charge. This is a spoiler but anyone who has half a brain can spot the prowler.
Tom Savini produced the gory effects and delivers the goods, my favorite is the bayonet through the top of a head that exits the throat. There’s also the ever popular exploding head by shotgun.
This film is a guilty pleasure from the 80’s and for a low budget it has good production values and first rate cinematography for a graphic horror movie. As long as you don’t mind figuring out the identity of the killer within the first ten minutes, the movie is good, clean, bloody fun.
