Panic 2010 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
Patient, a young man in his mid 20’s, is having a reoccurring dream that is both awe-inspiring and terrifying. It is of a bright blue light that beats in the distance. The light lures him in to what is visually beautiful, while simultaneously instilling a sense of physical dread the closer he gets. Suddenly, Patient awakens and finds himself sitting in an endless dark room with a strong piercing light coming from above. Sitting directly across from him is Psychiatrist, a dark shadowy figure with unsettling deformities.
Psychiatrist beings to question Patient on the nature of his visit. Unsure of the situation himself, Patient reluctantly answers. They soon find themselves in deep conversation, discussing Patient’s most private fears and anxieties. Every subject that is close to him is prodded and exploited. They discuss Patient’s fear of time and his inability to grasp the concept. At every possible moment, just when Patient seems to have a new understanding, Psychiatrist interjects to implant the seeds of doubt.
Patient, pushed to his emotional breaking point, takes control of the conversation. He begins to recount his dream in vivid detail. Psychiatrist is silenced by this bold move. With each word, Patient becomes more and more comfortable. As his dream progresses to the point at which it had previously left off, he comes to a startling realization of faith. Psychiatrist attempts to intervene and Patient is left with a choice. He can either continue in this newfound grace, or fall back into uncertainty.
