Martin 1978 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
I watched this last night, GREAT movie. This is Romero’s favorite movie he’s made. It’s a very real and disturbing movie about a real life vampire named Martin. He doesn’t have any magical powers, the sun only hurts his eyes alittle and garlic and crosses have no effect on him.. but he’s obsessed with drinking blood.
The opening scene alone sets the tone for the movie as he breaks into a woman’s room, drugs her, rapes her, slits her wrists and lets her blood squirt all over his chest and face.
The film is very sad, empty and realistic. Where most vampire movies have a huge battle in the ending, this movie simply ends with a whisper.
Awesome acting, awesome cameos by Tom Savini & even Romero himself, great score, great, well written story. I highly recommend Martin.
