In 1892 in the small village of Exeter, R.I. an awful disease was killing off the town folk in droves causing mass hysteria. Both young and old were succumbing by this disease and the only thing in common with the deceased was bleeding from the mouth and ears. One family in particular was especially stricken, that was the Brown family. Mr.Brown an elderly gentleman had already lost his wife, young daughter and his 19 year old daughter Mercy, and now his son was sick and dying. the town folk believed, that this was the work of a Vampire. Desperate to seek an answer, they turn to Reverend Moses. he suggested to Mr.Brown, they they had to unearth Mercy’s body to be certain, that she wasn’t the Vampire causing all their suffering. After unearhting Mercy’s grave, they were startled to see, that her body was perfectly intacted and blood was pouring from the sides of her mouth, the Reverend told Mr.Brown, that Mercy was indeed the ” undead ” a Vampire, and the only way to save Mr.Brown’s son and the rest of the town folk was to drive a stake through her heart, cut out her heart and dismember her body. This is what started the folklore, that Mercy was the last American Vampire. 100 years later, 1992, students from UConn are driving in the dark, cold and rainy wintry night
to a frat at the Univerisity of Rhode Island. The visibilty was very bad and slippery. Accidently, they take a wrong turn off onto a deserted road, when suddenly mercy appears before them causing them to avoid her and get stuck in front of an old abandand house. They’re unable to get the car going, so they decide to spend the night in the house. Once inside, one by one, they’re mysteriously killed with bite marks on their necks. Is this the work of Mercy 100 years later or is there another reason why she wanted them in the house?
