Review of Elektra - The Director's Cut (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)
Elekra is one of those movies that once you see the trailer, your sold. Elekra is a pretty good character and Jennifer Garner plays her well. This movie however disappointed me by taking too much time to set up Elekra's character. I think the focus was way to focus on her depression when it should have at least been more action based on the fact that she is a great assassin. I loved the back-story and the appearance of Styk, Elekra's master. Because of all this though, the action elements of the movie suffered a lot. Enemies of great power were killed by fast and ridicule moves. One spoiler/example is one enemy who is part of the elite whose body is hard as stone. He gets shot at by a shotgun and then he just dusts off the shells from his body, none of the bullet pierce his body even at close range. Then at a later time, Elekra lunges at him with her Sai just to have it break like a twig. She defeats this amazingly and seemingly invincible foe by dropping a tree on his head. I would of thought poison or a Sai in his mouth but no a tree was deemed better. In my opinion, this movie was made originally for a three hour long feature because everything flowed well until it came up to defeating these guys. That took away from y feel and success of this movie. This movie could have been up there with Blade, Resident Evil and even surpassed the X-men movie adaptation but they choose to leave out the main points to an assassin, action and consistency. Still worth watching though for great backstory and an all around good try.

I'm a Garner fan and I went to see this. It wasn't totally what I expected. I still enjoyed it and will probably rent the DVD. Garner did a great job, but was dragged down by the storyline. I recomend seeing tis movie.

Spanish: soy un gran admirador de J. Garner. Cuando vi los cortes de Elektra decidi ir en primera fila al cine. "Ella es realmente una actriz", ella tiene el potencial para personajes como este. Practico cosas asàincluyendo el ser algún dÃÂa actor, pero no es fácil. Ella si hizo un buen trabajo. Vea la pelÃÂcula...
English: I'm 2 a big fan of J. Garner. When I saw the reviews of Elektra I decide to go in 1rst place to the movie. "She is really an actress", she have the potential to characters like that. I practice those things including be an actor any day (¿?) And is difficult. She did an excellent job, and I like see her on the top. See this movie… Att. Meltor077@aol

Great Elektra,Bad movie. Watch Daredevil instead since, Hollywood never writes a good script for comic book women.

The reason i didn't like this movie is probably because im a guy, but i didn't like this movie as much as i thought i would. Is it just me, or does it look like jennifer garner is always crying?
