Carnival of Souls (Enhanced) starring Candace Hilligoss (1962)
This film has been enhanced using a Video Enhancement Program that reduces noise and enhances video quality.
A horror film released in 1962, both produced and directed by Herk Harvey for an estimated $33,000. The movie never gained widespread public attention when it was originally released as a B film. However today, it has found wide spread acclaim as a cult classic.
Starring unknown actress Candace Hilligoss, Carnival of Souls relies heavily on shoestring atmosphere, rather than special effects, to set its mood of horror. After wandering into a small town to begin her new job as a church organist, after an auto accident that she is the lone survivor of, young Mary Henry (Candace Hilligoss) begins to get some strange vibes. She seems to be invisible to the normal people in town while being confronted by every pasty-faced ghoul walking around dead on their feet. This is a must own for any fan of the horror genre.
