The Horror of Frankenstein 1970 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
I caught this classic Hammer film late last night on AMC. It’s one of the many films losely based on the Mary Shelly Novel. There is quite a twist on the plot of this adaptation. A very evil Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Ralph Bates) creates a monster and uses him to dispose of all those in his way. The monster’s make up is very cheesy and reminds me of Gus when he comes back from the dead in Pet Semetary II. This is one of the ugliest (and not in a good way) Frankenstein monsters I have ever seen. The acting is awful, and it’s very annoying how Victor talks to the monster like he is a dog by constantly saying “Good boy!”. Also I couldn’t stand Ralph Bates as Victor, his voice and attitude annoyed the hell out of me. I did, however enjoy the ending, but overall the movie was boring and cheesy. I didn’t enjoy it, but if you’re a true Hammer Films fan then maybe you could get something out of this.
