Salem's Lot - The Miniseries 2004 Horror Movie Review
Horror movies Review
Salem’s Lot based on the novel Salem’s Lot by Stephen King I thought was a great adaptation. The beginning suffered a little from the over emphasis on the town, Jerusalem’s Lot, being this really small simple sleepy town. After a great deal of introduction, setting and establishing the background of characters and basic motives, the movie picks up dramatically. The main character has his own inner demons that all revolve around the local haunted house on the hill. Now after some after odd years he returns to research a new project he finds himself in the center of another if not the same evil that possess the house on the hill. It turns out that a great vampire lord or class one vampire plans to take over the town. The whole town is about to be run over with vampires.
I loved the feel of this movie. There were some great special effects that although not very glitzy did manage to grab you out of your seat. I felt as if I was in a town slowly being corrupted to the dark side and slowly closing in on you. This is a great remake of a classic based on a great novel.
