7Review of SiN Episodes: Emergence
SiN Episodes is one of the first games coming out in episodes in order to reduce production time and costs. Another episode game is coming from Valve's Half-Life franchise.
Guns used in this first episode are the pistol, shotgun and machine gun. Enemies are moderate and intensity feels just right. It will only take a couple hours to complete however. Just when the intensity starts cranking up, you see a "Next on SiN Episodes." The game uses the Source engine that also brings into the fray a great physics platform. The Source engine is starting to show its age but nevertheless looks great. We do need more plot and game play additions for the next installment but Ritual Entertainment will certainly take care of that. Think of this one as in terms of a TV series where the first episode offers little but a good hook.
