Rise of Nations has been taken to the next level in this real time strategy (RTS). Developer Big Huge Games took the well known build a big army and crush all foes on the grid. Graphically they pushed the envelope to create a visually stunning game. The standard resource gathering is now more focused on exploration. Upgrading is highly encouraged to create better buildings and units. Defensive players are rewarded all with a balance that doesn't entirely hinder the more aggressive players who just want to destroy everything. You cannot attain much success if you plan is to make a huge army of one unit because the game is designed to balance that out single player skirmishes are plenty. I definitely recommend Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends for veterans and newbies to the genre.
