Review of Siren
The concept of Siren is to navigate the city as ten different characters over 3 days with their sides of the possessed Japanese village named Hanuda in 78 missions. The game has two major features; Sight Jacking and Link Navigator. Sight Jacking is when you look through the eyes of other characters. Link Navigator is simply the system that manages the correct order of the events. Sight Jacking is cool but you never really need it because there is no stealth mechanics in the game that takes proper advantage of it. It mostly used to give you a clue as to where an enemy may be located in the level. The Link Navigator keeps track of the events and sorts it out for you. You don’t get a clue about the game until after a few hours of game play because the story is so mixed up.
The sound effects are good and unnerving. The graphics are a little muddy and jerky at times. The faces are detailed but also look flat which works for this game.
