Review of Samurai Jack - The Shadow of Aku
This game has neither a unique look, smart stories, tons of action or good sound design that made Genndy Tartakovsky’s Samurai Jack Cartoon the hit it is.
This game is similar to the shows plot where Samurai Jack has to defeat the evil demon Aku by time traveling. But, before he can due this, Samurai Jack must free the slaves that Aku has enslaved. In every stage you must free the slaves and seek out relics in order to power-up. The rewards for freeing slaves can be new swords while relics can be exchanged for more power, Zen or life. The bad thing is that none of these benefits have any real effect in the game play. Even the swords do basically the same amount of damage.
