Review of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

After playing Resident Evil 2 I had high hopes for Nemesis. Although it did not surpass its predecessor it is a great game nonetheless. Some interesting new features have been added. You can now mix certain chemicals to make bullets for different weapons. My favorite was the grenade launcher, it had many kinds of ammo such as acid and fire rounds. I also enjoyed decision-making parts in the story. It gives you a certain feel of control. Graphics wise it is standard Resident Evil, same for sound. The story follows Jill Valentine again after the incident in Raccoon mansion. It is sort of like a side story to Resident Evil 2, taking place 24 hours before and 24 hours after. Jill must now find a way to escape Raccoon City by any means. While running through the gaming you will be chased by the main bad guy Nemesis (a genetically enhanced version of Tyrant). This guy will stop at nothing, popping up from out of nowhere to destroy you. His grunt shows he means business, screaming Rooooaaar!!! Stars! His only purpose is to kill all stars members and that means you. This guy had me jumping out of my seat every time he appeared. He is the reason why this game has more fear factor than the rest of the Resident Evil titles. Certainly worthy of the title Resident Evil, this is one game no horror fan or gamer for that matter, should be without.
