Review of Resident Evil 2

The second chapter in the most acclaimed horror series in video games was a blast. I've never had this much fun blasting zombies in my life. In this Resident Evil title the puzzles were toned down but the action was pumped up. The audio and visuals were improved drastically from the first, the god awful live action cut scenes have been replaced by beautiful CG cut scenes and, which to me was a big plus. The levels are bigger than the original. A bigger weapons selection was added (wait till you get the gatling gun). Capcom spared no detail in this classic. The story was pretty decent but I was having too much fun to pay attention. You start off with Claire Redfield (sister of Chris from Resident Evil Zero)or rookie cop on his first day Leon S. Kennedy. Claire comes to Raccoon City to find her brother Chris. Early on she meets with Leon and they band together to find a way out of the zombie infested city. You go through many unique areas such as the Raccoon City police department, a secret underground lab of the Umbrella Corp. (the company responsible for everyone becoming zombies), and of course the mean streets of Raccoon City. The layout of the game is pure perfection and is second to none. If you have never played this classic you must and if you have played it you must play it again. Greatest horror game.. Ever!
