The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett. Not really a terrifying book or anything, but the supernatural aspects are interesting and the plot is quite a good one.

Destiny, better known as Dusty, is used to breaking into houses. She doesn’t steal anything or hurt anyone. She just feeds off other people’s dreams. All nightmares do. One night, when Dusty is dream feeding off the oh-so-hot Eli Booker, things get weird. Eli isn’t dreaming of winning state for his high school football team. He’s dreaming of a murder. Things get even weirder when the murder actually happens. ow Eli and Dusty have to work together to try to stop a killer. The killer could be anyone, even Dusty’s own mother is a suspect.

Thanks! I have been reading The Strain comic books, they are good and answer a lot of questions from the TV series.
