Well historically every great nation had a vampire. The Japanese had the Naga, which were people with the bodies of snakes and the upper body was human. The Chinese had Jiang Shi which were reanimated corpses that needed blood to function. Romania had the traditional vampire that you are all familiar with, and they spread it through all Europe. Australia had the Yara-ma-yha-who which was a little red man with a big head and no teeth that ate it's human prey whole... As for how many types of vampires, such as psychic and sanguinarian, there are as many types as there are vampires. No two vampires are the same after all. They all have different strengths and weaknesses. But if you want a generalization, there are Emotion vampires, Blood vampires, Psychic vampires, Sex vampires, and Earthly vampires.
