Why do we get bored??
why do we get bored? is it just our mind telling us that we should be doing something more productive with our lives or is it just a state of
mind....... so we only think that we are bored because of the enviroment we are encouraged by???
tell me what you think....

we're equipped with a mind...and, it tells us what to do, and what not to.
- obviously- but, we are also animals, and we are basically built to just sustain life and reproduce. so, this means, that we should be finding food,
and that'd usually take up all spare time we would have -and when we are full, we would rest, so we wouldn't waste our energy.
However, modern man ( and woman), has it all, so, when the stomach is full....and we have food right next to us, and we've slept all we care to have
sept, the mind faces a problem- now what?- luckily we have evolved and gotten other interests, w make art, have jobs etc. but, this is where the ego,
over the ID comes in- we don't _feel_like doing any of those things. they are man-made needs, and interests, so they will rarely have as firm grip in
us as the basic needs.
And when we become apathetic, that can be a result of many things, such as low energy food, or a slight unbalance.
and it can be reinforcing -teaching your brain to be unproductive. -and the circle goes on.....
and, I wrote all this, because I too, am bored..

I think we become bored is because we do everything that needs to be done for the day and we come to a predicament when we sit around and do
absolutley nothing. We can't think of anything to do but lounge around.

Hey Dog i agree with everything your saying but the beginning part. After-which you were on a roll. But The mind doesn't really tell us what to do.
We have a mind yes, but it is the fact that we can "reason" is the thing that separates us from animals. The body has needs like: hungre, itching,
pain, and the brain is informed of this, then will react by eating, scratching, or whatever. And even some the come srtaight from the brain, like face
recognition, being late for work, or even infatuation. But the point is these impusles are sent to the mind to be processed. By processing these
impulses you decide whether its a good idea to scratch your butt, go order food, or even if you like a certain person. And a lot of this happens so
fast that the subconscience will decide the correct course of action.

We get bored because we crave for change, and crave for a variety. But depending on your daily routines such as having a job, school, or seeking work.
In my view of it, instead of looking at boredom as it is "nothing to do", try using it for time to relax. Do things you enjoy while you have the
spare time rather then looking it as boredom.
