I didn't really care for this movie, it wasn't really scary. The only thing that I found scary was that body that crawled on the ground and made
that noise with it's throat. That was just creepy.

funny as hell, loved the movie for the simple fact I can scare my friends and family with it, but even then its still a good movie

same, i was staying at my cousins at the time of seeing it and my sister and my cousin got freaked by it and stayed awake for the next few nights and
yelling at me whenever i did the noise that the japanese chick makes  im so
mean to them, i still tease my sister now, it still freaks her out.
i thought it was kinda alright could have been better though it doesnt really explain too much just launches right into it......... there also isnt
enough blood and gore

truly the only decent part is when the japanese chick comes down the stairs at the end of the film. that was cool.

Having had my fill of carbon copy Japanese supernatural flicks I never bothered with "Ju-on", so I thought that the American version would be a nice
compromise to make for a fresher viewing.
I have to say I was impressed. Geller does a fine job and the 'foreigner abroad' angle adds a new spin.
Some good 'cheap' jump scares combine with good genuine scares and the film is packed with creepy, grotesque sights and has a nice unrelenting pace
as it keeps the shocks coming thick and fast and the final 3rd really delivers the brutal and grotesque goodies...but it still managed to add
character and suspense.
Very good indeed overall.
BUT...What a travesty that Sam 'I have now become a corporate suit' Raimi allowed this to be cut down to get a PG-13! If allowing the "Evil Dead"
to be re-made was not proof enough...this should be!
Checking on the IMDB at what was removed for ther theatrical release it's pretty easy to see that much of the film's well crafted shock power was
simply thrown away!
Don't even bother going near the theatrical cut...get this version instead and you will enjoy the ride a lot more. Especially the far more disturbing
finale/flashback to the family killings.

i thought the movie was pretty good, was funny cus i was watching it with my friend and it freaked him out so every time he tryed to get to sleep i
did the throat thing,  . some of it was a little crap though like the ending,
i hate cliff hangers that lead to bad sequels.
