According to Gustav Davidson, Adramelech means "king of fire" and is one of two throne angels along with Asmadai. He is also 8th of the 10 archdemons and a great minister/chancelor of the Order of the Fly, founded by Beelzebub. Often seen in the form of a mule or peacock.
The name Adramelech (also Adrammalech) appears in the Old Testament two times. The first time he is referenced as the son of the Assyrian King Sennacharib along with Sharezer. Sharezer murdered Adramelech and his father while he was praying in the temple of Nisrach (2 Kings 19:36-38 cf. Isaiah 37:37-39).It is said that the Serapharvaim, the city of the Assyrians, sacrificed children to him.
The second time Adramelech is named is in context of the Sumerian sun god who was worshipped by the Sepharites.
'the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burned their children in the fire as sacrifices to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.' - 2 Kings 17:31
