LeMay: The Life and Wars of General Curtis LeMay Horror Book Review
Featured Book Review: Sun Bleached Winter
I admire how the author, D. Robert Grixit introduces the characters in this book and how he prepares his readers for what to expect. The author did a great job describing the atmosphere, scenery and how chaotic, gloomy, lifeless, dark, scary, eerie and dangerous his surrounding is in the wastelands.…
Horror books Review
Warren Kozak has written an honest biography of a true American hero. With this book, General LeMay’s accomplishments and heroism are finally exposed to a new generation of Americans. In this day and age we need all the heroes we can find!
Mr. Kozak has debunked the stereotypes surrounding the General, and in this very readable and lively story, provided a approachable history of the man, the US Air Force and 20th Century. The world and America would possibly have been a different place without the intervention of General LeMay at critical moments of World War 2 (tactical bombing) and the subsequent Cold War with the Soviet Union (the complete overhaul of S.A.C.). The book is better for the research that Mr. Kozak engaged in, particularly the first person oral interviews with key surviving prominent people (especially the General’s daughter Janie) which adds a level of creditability to the story. I look forward to Mr. Kozak’s next book with interest.
This book is definitely worth the readers consideration.
