The Judas Cult Horror Book Review
Featured Book Review: Sun Bleached Winter
I admire how the author, D. Robert Grixit introduces the characters in this book and how he prepares his readers for what to expect. The author did a great job describing the atmosphere, scenery and how chaotic, gloomy, lifeless, dark, scary, eerie and dangerous his surrounding is in the wastelands.…
Horror books Review
The Judas Cult is something I have been waiting to read for a long time. Imagine the catacombs under the Vatican with a 400 year old secret that has been locked away in a secret chamber. This book has great references and connections as well. The story ties the Knights Templar, Jesus Christ, Judas Iscariot, the demon/demons known as Legion from the Bible and modern day cloning into one mind-blowing fast paced horrifying great thrill ride.
Isom Daniels is the next best thing since Stephen King and Anne Rice. Take the classics from these authors and cut out the over-extended not needed dialogue and setting and you will have “The Judas Cult.” I cannot wait for his future works.
This book mixes up cloning elements with only one problem, who are the characters going to clone? What is this mysterious item locked away under the ruined catacombs of the Vatican? How does everything tie in? I have done a little research on Knights Templar and I love how they fit into the story plus the monastery that went totally insane way back when and the Vatican had to tear the monastery down. In short I greatly enjoyed this book and the only bad thing I can say is that it was short. It all works well together and it proves that unlike other authors, the size of a book doesn’t make it quality. Highly recommended read for intermediate to advanced horror fans because everything is explained rather well and briefly while getting all key elements together.
