Twenty Something and Breast Cancer: Images in Healing Horror Book Review

this is the first book i read after being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31.  It was given to me by my best friend. It made me feel that i wasn’t alone and there is life after breast cancer.  I related to the author in a lot of ways but one was the fact that she ‘knew’ something was wrong. I felt the same way - you really have to listen to your body and what it is telling you. The doctors thought we were too young for this disease. Some of it was hard to read when i was first diagnosed because of how sick she got from the chemo ( i was so afraid of what i was going to go thru) but there are drugs available now so you won’t get sick. The terrible thing is she mentions the drug zophran that she knew was coming out but wasn’t allowed to get it.
I’m glad that women like her have written about their experiences to help me along with my journey.
