Night Games Fastback Horror Horror Book Review

I have never understood the chapbook industry. Paying a lot for a single short story just doesn’t seem right. But, when I can find one used for a decent price, I might check it out.

This nice little tale takes on the classic theme of spending the night in a haunted house.  Janice accepts a dare to spend the night in a house where the previous owner met an untimely end.  She is determined to collect the $500 her friend Lyle has offered.  What happens during the night and what Lyle’s involvement may or may not be takes the story headlong into a creepy ending.

It would have been nice having an extra paragraph or two to explain a little more about Lyle’s past games but for the length of the story it works quite well.

I wouldn’t recommend paying a lot for this one but it is worth reading.
