He may not do as well in school as his older siblings, he may not have his own car, and he may occasionally be accused of laziness, but on the whole life is good. He knows what is expected of him. He doesn’t have to make many decisions. He has a few good friends he’s known since he was small. And he has lots of time left to get interested in girls. 

But Glen’s life turns upside down when Charlie Thornton moves in across the street. Before he realizes what’s going on, Glen is changing many of his regular habits, arguing with his best friend, risking his life, and worrying about girls. 

This wonderful warm book, filled with insight, humor, and hope, is perfect for “ordinary” teens who don’t have it all together, aren’t rich, beautiful, or extremely popular, and wonder if they are still “okay.”
