All This Useless Beauty is a coming of age story about the collision between science and faith in a college student’s life. As a young girl struggles to make sense of the events that unfold in the final semester of her college career, she becomes involved in a groundbreaking research project attempting to create the basis for computer generated life. Author Stuart Hentschel explores the roots of scientific thought and attempts to demystify the office of scientist, and allow anyone and everyone to occupy this guarded profession. In the end, the reader must make up his or her mind on where to stand, as well as the truth of who they are.
