The Orgillion Horror Rolemaster/Shadow World Horror Book Review
Featured Book Review: Darkbound
Darkbound is an amazing book. Michaelbrent Collings outdid himself with this book. It is not at all what I thought it would be. I took three nights to finish this book because I stayed up way past my bedtime. Darkbound was so suspenseful that I just kept on reading to…

The Orgillion Horror adventure for the Rolemaster/ShadowWorld RPG is one of the best Lovecraftian/Cthulhu Mythos-inspired modules ever created. Wait, make that simply one of THE best adventure modules ever created. The story starts off paralleling H.P. Lovecraft’s novelette “The Case of Charles Dexter Ward” (and accompanying classic horror movie “The Resurrected”) with players unwittingly assisting in the resurrection of an evil sorcerer back from death. From there the adventure travels along to other sinister locations such as a mausoleum crypt atop a windswept hill and an encounter with a rival group of tomb raiders. It concludes in a epic expedition descending into a vast, ancient underground pyramid wherein the party must overcome both the physical dangers of the Elder Horrors that wait within and the ensuing madness that threatens the characters’ very sanity.
I ran the adventure for a group of my RPG buddies and it was one of the most incredible and fun campaigns we’d ever played. Definitely filled with clever story twists and turns in addition to fantastic locales and challenging monster encounters, I can honestly say the Orgillion Horror is a classic! It can easily be adapted to any fantasy RPG system with minimal effort and I give it the highest recommendation. Whether you’re a fan of horror-inspired role-playing or just want to experience a thrilling, creative and fun adventure with your friends, this is one that is definitely not-to-be-missed.
