Darker Point Horror Unleashed Horror Book Review
Featured Book Review: Sun Bleached Winter
I admire how the author, D. Robert Grixit introduces the characters in this book and how he prepares his readers for what to expect. The author did a great job describing the atmosphere, scenery and how chaotic, gloomy, lifeless, dark, scary, eerie and dangerous his surrounding is in the wastelands.…
Horror books Review
When I first saw this book, I thought that because it had the words ‘Point Horror Unleashed’ on the cover, it would make it extra scary, with all the gory details left in it.
I couldn’t be more wrong.
I read the whole book, first to last page, feeling betrayed and disappointed. The storyline could not have been more predictable, and there wasn’t any real plot. It didn’t make me dread the shadows in the darkness of my room at night either, which for me gave me hours of boredom just reading it.
The basic storyline is that something in town is making everyone suddenly act strangely, hiding their eyes behind sunglasses even in their homes, listening to heavy metal and planting the word ‘Darker’ in green graffiti all over everywhere. Obviously the main character gets suspicious, he gets a friend to help him and ‘together they overcome the forces of evil’. But the ending was poor too.
If you’re like me, and thought that Point Horror Unleashed made the whole book better, then take my word for it A. Matthews did a terrible job with this one.
