Horror books Review
Richie Tankersley Cusick is one of my favorite YA writers. The first time I read this book I honestly wasn’t impressed. It’s such a short book and all of her other books are longer and they have more dialogue. I recently read it again and was pleasantly surprised. It’s one of those books where you want to read every sentence or you’ll miss something. The characters are a lot more interesting than I remember too. This books takes place over the span of only a few days and has only a handful of characters.
Meg Danton’s mother has volunteered her to take care of an ill aunt whose house is in an isolated part of the bayou. As the days pass things happen to Meg that can’t be explained which leads to an fascinating climax.
At the moment the book is expensive though. You might want to keep an eye out for it at used book stores.
