Clive Barker brings his worlds to life in this book so vividly that you actually think that you are in these worlds and they actually exist. The mental images come forth so beautifully with descriptions that are very detailed. The story is also truly amazing and compelling. The story is an erotic horror fantasy and reminds you of this throughout the book.
However this book does still have its disadvantages. At some times within the book, the story seems to drag a little. Some of the characters also seem to be little underdeveloped.
