Below we have put together our Valentine’s Horror Movies suggestions list. These horror movies are the best movies to sit back and enjoy with your loved one(s).
Director: Jamie Blanks
Cast: Denise Richards, David Boreanaz, Marley Shelton
Tagline: "Revenge is sweeter than candy."
Valentine (2001) stars Denise Richards way back before she cursed herself with Charlie Sheen. Anyways, David Boreanaz (Buffy, Angel) is in the mix as five friends receive weird threatening Valentine messages. Seems someone scorned from the past is back for revenge.
Director: Ben Wheatley
Cast: Alice Lowe, Steve Oram, Eileen Davis
Tagline: "Killers have never been this close knit"
Sightseers (2012) is all about Chris (Steve Oram) showing Tina (Alice Lowe) his world as they tour the historical sights of Yorkshire. Along the way, Chris feels the need to kill almost everyone he encounters but soon enough, Tina feels like killing people is something they can do together. This is a real horror comedy that is twisted and highly enjoyable.
My Bloody Valentine (1981)
Director: George Mihalka
Cast: Paul Kelman, Lori Hallier, Neil Affleck, Cynthia Dale, Terry Waterland
Tagline: "There’s more than one way to lose your heart…" and "Cross your heart… and hope to die."
My Bloody Valentine (1981), a true horror B movie that is a teen slasher movie at heart but separates itself from Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and Friday the 13th. Harry Warden is a miner dealing tough love as he swings his pickaxe into the hearts. Definitely a must see horror movie for any occasion and especially on Valentine’s Day.
The Loved Ones (2009)
Director: Sean Byrne
Cast: Xavier Samuel, Robin McLeavy, John Brumpton
Tagline: "Prom night can be torture…"
The Loved Ones (2009) features that weird girl who just looks too creepy. Lola "Princess" (Robin McLeavy) has her father kidnap Brent (Xavier Samuel). This "special" prom has Lola trying out various power tools and hammers on Brent, not in the kinky way I may add. Another great modern horror movie that you need to watch on Valentine’s Day.
My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009)
Director: Patrick Lussier
Cast: Jensen Ackles, Jaime King, Kerr Smith
Tagline: "Nothing says ‘date movie’ like a 3D ride to hell!"
My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) has to be my favorite Valentine’s Horror Movie because of all the back and forth with the storyline. I really think Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) did a great job playing his character. To further get you into the mood, Betsy Rue (Lucky Bastard) does her thing in a motel and even has one of the longest running nude scenes in a movie ever. Trust me, this horror movie fully captivates you into the plot and you find yourself enjoying the deep horror film.
