Top Horror Movies of 2010 is somewhat of a mixed bag. 2010 was not a great year for horror films but here is the top movies, Devil, Paranormal Activity 2, Let Me In, Splice, Frozen, Rec2, After Life, The Last Exorcism, Daybreakers and The Crazies.

10. The Crazies

Breck Eisner’s The Crazies happens to be one of the best Hollywood remakes. Featuring some memorable moments and great character work.

9. Daybreakers

In 2017, a vampire plague has transformed most of the world in to vampires. With the ever decreasing human population, the vampires must find a new blood supply. A small secret team of both vampires and humans work on a way to save the human race.

8. The Last Exorcism

The Last Exorcism delivers a great lead performance thanks to Patrick Fabian. A welcome change from the found footage horror genre courtesy the Paranormal Activity franchise. The ending was crazy and fresh.

7. After Life

After Life is a horror-drama as opposed to horror-thriller. Christina Ricci and Liam Neeson deliver awesome roles.

6. Rec2

Definitely a great for the monsters that are included in this installment. This installment improves on the original Rec with even better monsters.

5. Frozen

Frozen is not really a horror movie in the sense of gore and mayhem but in the sense of fear and fright. What would you do to save your life?

4. Splice

Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley star in a great Frankenstein update in which two scientists create a new being with new possibilities and outcomes. An entertaining and fun horror film that is different in a variety of ways.

3. Let Me In

Matt Reeves delivers a great remake of an already great horror movie, "Let the Right One In".

2. Paranormal Activity 2

Paranormal Activity 2 is a great sequel to the poltergeist original and continues the story well. This time targetting the sister of the previous victim, we see all haunts re-invented with new camera tricks. Paranormal Activity 2 should quench all your ghost loving needs.

1. Devil

Devil is a great horror movie of 2010 because it revolves around the Devil as the main cast in an awesome way. M. Night Shyamalan’s name in the trailer may have turned you off but look past that because youmust see this one. This is a thoroughly entertaining, devils-gonna-get-ya’ thriller that has a killer ending.

With horror movies like these, 2010 did produce some rather entertaining horror films. These must see movies are the best of vampires, monsters and gruesome fear.
