20th Century Fox has revealed the teaser trailer for Rise of the Planet of the Apes, opening in theaters on August 5. Directed by Rupert Wyatt, the film stars James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo and Andy Serkis as Caesar.

In Rise of the Planet of the Apes, what started out as an act of both compassion and arrogance leads to a war the likes of which mankind has never faced before. WETA Digital, the Oscar-winning visual effects team that brought to life the worlds of "The Lord of the Rings" franchise and AVATAR is yet again is breaking new ground, creating a CGI ape with unbelievable emotion and intelligence, and epic battles between man and primate. This Rise of the Planet of the Apes trailer really has me itching to see more.
