Seems as though Battle Royal, Candy Man 4, Friday the 13th II (Remake) and Rosemary’s Baby are horror movies never to see the light of day again.
Production on the American version was supposed to start production in 2006 but everything just fell through the cracks. Battle Royal, taken from the novel, is about a society where kids and adults are so different that children at a certain age are put through a test. They must battle one another and the last remaining child will claim victory and keep their life. It was thought that the American audience would not take lightly to this one so BOOM, another horror movie franchise bites the dust.
Way back in 2004 Candyman 4 was circling the net and an insane budget of 25 million was rumored. Around that time, Freddy vs Jason came out and after the success of these two monster of horror, talks came up to shoot Candyman vs Pinhead from Hellraiser since they are both Clive Barker characters. I don’t know about you but that would have been a joke of a horror film.
Friday the 13th Part II (Remake)
Jason Voorhees is technically "on-hold" meaning that the script is out there somewhere but no real actions have been taken to start production yet. Hopefully we get better characters with a little depth and we can keep those crazy kills in the next installment of Friday the 13th.
Rosemary’s Baby remake was planned to start in 2007 but those plans fell through. How can you actually think to remake this one. The ending would be the same unless it were to changed to something else that would make true horror fans of the original Rosemary’s Baby get up and stone the Director(s), producers and actors. LoL
